  Library Information

ACCESS OUR LIBRARY
To verify that we have a particular book in our library and that it is an Accelerated Reader approved book click on link below:
http://www.arbookfind.com

ACCELERATED READING
With Accelerated Reader, students read a book and then take a computerized test that measures their comprehension. Accelerated Reader tests can be taken only at school (in the classroom or in the library). The program will allow a student to take a test only once for a specific book. Each student is provided a login name and a password, so that he or she can access the program. A faculty member is always available if assistance is required. Although Accelerated Reader is a form of self study and testing, the teacher is able to gain access to the program in order to monitor each student's progress.
Accelerated Reader helps students focus on what they are reading, improving their critical thinking skills. Using Accelerated Reader can find books that are appropriate and are within their range of reading development. Because of this students will be challenged, but not frustrated. Students will be reading on their independent reading level. This level is NOT the same as that of a student's instructional reading level.
Students are  using a computer software program called Renaissance Place to take their Accelerated Reader tests.  Parents were issued a letter outlining this program with a user name and password.  Click on the link below to access "Renaissance Home Connect" interface and view your child's progress.
