GLENBROOK HERITAGE

The purpose of Glenbrook School is to promote the development of the total child: academically through a balanced college-preparatory program; socially through leadership opportunities, extra-curricular activities, and community service; and physically through complete physical education and athletic programs. The school recognizes the responsibility it shares with the home in the development of ethical and moral values.
• Glenbrook School is the result of dedicated planning and work from concerned citizens.
• The Glenbrook student is taught self-reliance through thinking—not merely through the accumulation of facts.
• Extra-curricular activities at Glenbrook School are provided and encouraged as part of our well-rounded curriculum.
• Our excellent athletic program includes activities varying from football to tennis, weight-training to softball.
• Our elementary arts and enrichment curriculum provides children with early cultural exposure.
• Over the past years, Glenbrook School graduates have excelled in their chosen fields and have made positive impacts in their communities across the country.
Glenbrook School is a K-12 private school with a student/teacher ratio of 13:1.
Glenbrook School holds accreditation through three distinct accrediting agencies:
• Louisiana State Department of Education
• Mississippi Association of Independent Schools
• Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

Glenbrook is led by the headmaster, the Board of Trustees, and the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of members elected by the board. The overall responsibility of the boards is to advance the school according to our purpose, under the school's by-laws, and in accordance with its stated objectives and mission. The Board of Trustees consists of six permanent members. There are 9 Board of Directors members. Three members are elected who serve three year staggered terms. Monthly meetings of the Board of Directors are posted on the website bulletin board.
